He stayed silent and looked away, still filled with rage and sadness. He didn’t know what to say to her. He hadn’t seen her in years and had grown up without a mother. Years of searching and waiting for her and that was all she had to say for herself? “What about me? Do you realize that I had to grow up motherless? I grew up hearing stories about you, grew up with memories of how you did all these great things… but I grew up not knowing who you really were, what the truth was, and so much more…”

The directness in her reply would be breathtaking, and astounding. Such bluntness toward her son would probably be seen as cruel— Lightning however was nothing short of honest and direct, just as mentioned. “It was either this, or not know me at all— death and entropy. What would you have preferred, Tide..?” She turned to her son, her eyes coated in misery for the choices she made that only brought sorrow. Choices that were made that only brought regret and hatred— but what more could a mother do? Was she not to make the correct choices for the sake of the ones she cared so deeply for? She wanted to see her son whether he was grown, or still an infant. Had she not done what had been accomplished, she wouldn’t have seen him ever again other than the initial moments of his infantry.

His arms folded across his chest as he looked away, his eyes began to water up as he quickly whipped away the tears “Right….sorry…” He’d began to understand with out her gone he’d not be living his life now he accepted it but was still mad. Still not looking at the women who brought him into the world he sighed “Glad your back…”. He still showed little affection for her or anything as the thought of showing such affections will bring a Solider such as his self down. Now he remained quit as multiple thoughts ran threw his head, even the thought of what he had become to her. Had he really grown up just fine with out her? How would things be now? Mysterious that hid in the darkness for a long time should soon reveal its self to him. Would he like it? And could he be happy…


Words could no longer bring the seams of pain together once more. Time had welded itself within the basis of his fibers, and only time could reverse such. Motioning inward would be her guarded figure. She could sense the militaristic recoil within him. So much that it highly reminded her of herself not too long ago. Then, guarded arms would allow themselves to rise and coil around the broadness of her son’s shoulders— an embrace. She wasn’t affirmed that it would help in any form or fashion, but perhaps it would soothe her son. A melodic tone seemingly brushed from her lips and could easily be heard due to the closeness of the embrace. This tone would be one of vague remembrance to the boy— one from his infantry.

The young soldier looked away from her, still filled with the sadness of finally reuniting with the woman who granted him the gift of life, however even after all she had done he couldn't meet her gaze or stand to be with her now, even after all she had done for him. The young man lifted her arms from him and turned to her, he gazed into her heavenly blue eyes, eyes that were as beautiful as the skys, he didn't dare say a word, he simply stood there and stared at her with eyes of sorrow and anger, yet deep down, he also felt a joy, a deep feeling of happiness that he was reunited with his mother, but he couldn't show it, for he was afraid.
